TERMS & CONDITIONS
The "Ghostly Game Jam" (hereinafter referred to as "the Event") is scheduled to commence on October 14th and conclude on November 3rd. The Event is an online remote opportunity.
Please read carefully the terms and conditions that follow:
Eligibility
The Event is open to Code Ninjas students, non-Code Ninjas students aged 5-14.
Registration
To register for the Event, participants can inquire for more details on the designated Game Jam landing page. While there is no mandatory registration fee, participants are encouraged to make a suggested donation to support Extra Life, the Children’s Miracle Network, and the Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity.
Judging Criteria
Games will be evaluated based on their originality, adherence to the Halloween theme, and overall creativeness. The judging panel will consist of members from the Code Ninjas Marketing and Education teams.
Finalists
All finalists will have the opportunity to have their game featured on the Ghostly Game Jam 2024 webpage. The Grand Prize winner will receive a limited-edition t-shirt, and Code Ninjas will make a $500 donation to Extra Life in the winner's name.
Intellectual Property
Participants retain the intellectual property rights of their submitted games.
Code of Conduct
Participants are expected to conduct themselves in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner, demonstrating integrity and courtesy to judges, organizers, and fellow participants. Harassment, cheating, or any other offensive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification and/or banning from future events.
Liability and Indemnification
Participants agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the organizers, sponsors, and judges from any claims, losses, liabilities, damages, expenses, and costs (including attorney’s fees) arising out of their participation in this event. The organizers are not responsible for any personal injury or loss of property that may occur during the event.
Privacy and Publicity
Personal information collected during registration will be used solely for the purpose of conducting and promoting the Ghostly Game Jam. By participating, individuals grant the organizers permission to use their names, likenesses, and submissions for promotional purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
