Dylan’s Black Belt Project, deagle bean, is “the coolest indie epic shooter game you will ever play!” His project is a multiplayer game, hosted on Steam, that puts 5 players together to see who can get the most bean kills within 5 minutes. According to Dylan, “only the most skilled players can make it in this game - *evil laugh* hahahah...” deagle bean will go live on Steam in summer 2023!

Her Black Belt project, Horse Racing Heroes, incorporates her passion for horseback riding with everything she has learned. This game combines the enjoyment of horseback riding with the challenge of racing to achieve the best elapsed time.

Logan has been attending Code Ninjas for the past two years! In his Black Belt project, Crazy Auto Racer, players must evade the pursuing police for as long as possible, but they will eventually get caught due to the tracker on their car. The project also features a free-play mode where players can drive one of three cars (muscle, rally, or police cars) without the added pressure of being chased by law enforcement. Logan challenges players to beat his high score of 200 seconds in the police chase mode.

Thomas created a horror game, Liminality, for his Black Belt project. Thomas was originally going for an atmospheric game, however the game then changed into a horror game as Thomas felt that the atmospheric game wouldn't be as fun for players. In Liminality, you have to take pictures of pillars while being chased by monsters. The game was inspired by liminal spaces and Slenderman.

Justin's Black Belt game, Jump, evolved throughout its development, demonstrating that game development is a continuous process. Filip has been a strong coder at Code Ninjas for the last four years. He likes to build games that cater to all age groups and that showcase his creativity. The user must complete several orders within a certain amount of time to advance to the next level. The winner gets awarded a paid job at the restaurant.

The game gets progressively harder and keeps track of the points the user earns between sessions, so they can come back and keep playing whenever they’d like!

Shriyans has been at Code Ninjas for 3.5 years and has applied the acquired programming and problem-solving skills to develop his Black Belt project, Regular Runner, a game that combines the platformer and speed run genres. Shriyans aspires to major in Computer Science for his college education and looks forward to applying math and algorithm design to develop cyber security solutions that will protect networked transactions. After finishing Black Belt, Shriyans will give back by continuing to motivate fellow Ninjas through mentorship and internships at Code Ninjas Palos Verdes.

Misha is continuing to develop more games while working as a Code Sensei teaching kids the same concepts he learned as a Ninja. Anirudh is a self-motivated ninja who goes above and beyond requirements to make his projects the best they can be. He is also very passionate about helping other ninjas in the dojo. In his Black Belt project Fakemon: Chromafire, he decided to create a turn-based RPG because he wanted to do a game that was both 2D and 3D in a fun and interesting way. In Fakemon: Chromafire, you fight monsters in turn-based battles using your ninja tools to stop the invasion and save the village.
